Mandav or Mandavgad is the city of celebration in stone, of life and joy. It is located in the Malwa region of western Madhya Pradesh at 35km from Dhar city.It was the fort capital of the Parmara rulers fo Malwa. The city was referred as Mandav or Mandavgad under the rule of Paramara rulers in the 11th and 12th century.Mandav or Mandavgad is also known as ‘Shadibad’ and the name of Mandav changed to ‘Shadibad’ was done by Alauddin Khilji who gained control over the city in the 13th century
